We had particularly heavy cloud cover all day in Houston, including before, during, and after the 2024 North American total solar eclipse. The eclipse was set to last from 12:20pm to 3:01pm in these parts, with maximal coverage (94%) of the sun taking place at 1:40pm. Seemingly miraculously, the thick clouds parted for a few moments at 1:39pm and I was able to make this photograph.
