Two years ago today, I moved to Groton, Connecticut to start a new job at General Dynamics Electric Boat. As you can see, the Gold Star is actually a pair of steel truss bridges that spans the 6,000 feet across the mouth of the Thames River between New London and Groton along Interstate 95.
