Remains at the End of the Century

Three Greenway Plaza is one of the ten buildings in Greenway Plaza, a 50-acre campus alond the Southwest Freeway. Greenway Plaza is Houston’s first master-planned business-commercial-residential complex developed by the late Kenneth Schnitzer. In the days following the grand opening in 1973, Bill Schadewald of the Houston Press said that Greenway Plaza- with its office towers, retail operations, professional basketball arena, a movie theater, and a hotel- “defined the multiuse concept in an original ‘Edge City’.”
