During my final semester as an undergraduate student at Boston University, I opted to take a basic photography class in the College of Communications. I took the class despite knowing that I was unlikely to learn anything new in the class in terms of basic technical skills like aperture and shutter speed, but I knew that if I didn’t do something that would require me to go out and shoot, I would end up dedicating no time to photography whatsoever as my engineering senior design project would likely consume most of my time.
Over the next couple weeks, I’ll post some of the photos I took as part of that basic photography course, including some of the photos I submitted as part of my final project portfolio.
This particular photograph was made as part of a depth of field assignment in which we were required to shoot at f/16 and f/2 (or thereabouts).
