18th Floor Balcony

“So we talked about mom’s and dad’s
About family pasts
Just getting to know where we came from
Our hearts were on display
For all to see”

This is one of the first couple shots I took on the photo walk last Sunday with the Boston Photo Mob. I don’t think I mentioned it on any of the previous posts, but I made it a point to try and go full manual (except for autofocus) on this walk. According to my EXIF, however, this one was on Aperture Priority mode, which is where I usually shoot anyways.

I’ve seen similar shots to this on flickr. (I want to say its fellow DMU-er Ventri is the guy I’m thinking of here, but I can’t be sure.) If it is him, he does black and whites better; I can’t help but play with contrast on my B+W conversions. Though, admittedly, this was one grungy and nasty looking building.
