Back in March of last year, I was in the Government Center area looking to shoot some street scenes in the college-visiting-tourist high season. I noticed the light on the JFK Building and went over to shoot it. At the time, I’d forgotten that it was a federal building and taking images of the building would likely be frowned upon....

Pant Dance
I was walking around the Boston University student union way back in February 2011 and I loved how the woman in the photography was standing in the best lit part of The Link. She was originally standing in tableaux with an expression of longing on her face, but by the time I had the Bronica focussed and ready to shoot, she’d begun to perform the unmistakable Pant Dance.

“I’d seen a chandelier in a restaurant in Barcelona when I was traveling. The chandelier was hanging at eye level. It was really beautiful. When you sat down to eat you looked underneath it, and it acted as a centerpiece for the table. I loved this idea of hanging a chandelier at eye level. And it triggered something that said, I now can make a chandelier, because it doesn’t have to be...

Your Name in Lights
The DMUBoston Meetup was 441 days ago today (that’s 63 weeks!) and I’m FINALLY posting my last photograph from the weekend.
The weekend of October 22nd to October 25th, 2010 was by long and far the most amazing weekend of my life (photographically speaking, that is). A massive group of photographers from across the US and Canada came to Boston for the sole intent of photographing...
Blink Once for Yes
For the first time since October 2010, I have no photos left to process. The DMUBoston Meetup photos are done. The NYC with Mo photos are done. The Houston with TH photos are done. The Southwest USA Road Trip photos are done. The vacation photos and all the other things are done. All this really means is that I need to start posting these photos and that I need to start shooting again.

Open Doors
The DMUBoston Meetup was over a year ago and I’m still posting photos from it.
Simmons Hall, designed by Steven Holl and dedicated in 2002, is one of the dormitories at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At the cost of $78.5 million, it is MIT’s most expensive dorm. There are a total of 5500 2’ x 2’ windows like those shown here on the facade of the building...
Remains at the End of the Century
Three Greenway Plaza is one of the ten buildings in Greenway Plaza, a 50-acre campus alond the Southwest Freeway. Greenway Plaza is Houston’s first master-planned business-commercial-residential complex developed by the late Kenneth Schnitzer. In the days following the grand opening in 1973, Bill Schadewald of the Houston Press said that Greenway Plaza- with its office towers, retail...
